Back to Nassau HQ from my mission to St Barths.
It wasn't till i arrived at this tiny little Island 17 54'N 62 50'W
in the French West Indies that i realised what my mission was.
With all the traveling i do these days and have done over the years, to some pretty exotic locations round the world, i have to say this was a real vacation. I actually can't remember when i had one in recent years. I think i had forgotten what a vacation was, and how to enjoy one.
For someone project based, on the move and being able to live in wonderful places having a vacation is not some thing you plan for, or really consider having.
But there is something different about a vacation and i will re visit the subject on another posting to do with travel.
I had originally been invited to St Barths in 1999 when my dear friends Augusto & Novella got married there. 10 years later i finally i made it for a New Years Eve party 08/09 at their magnificent house over looking Gustavia Habour.
I will post later on St Barths and mention other people i met, but here i wish to thank Augusto & Novella for an absolutely wonderful time and being such superb hosts during my stay.
When ever you are shown a very special place in the world (and the island of St Barths is one of those jewels) by friends who live there and know its magic, you are going to be treated to a magical vacation.
