Thought id take to the Gym again and pump some iron. Haven't joined in gym in years. I spent 12 years in the fitness industry back in the mid 70s the 80s, Not a lot has changed that really matters, the basic exercises are still basic. Weight resistance exercise is still the best body shaping / strengthening program. As you get older maintaining lean muscle mass becomes not just important for looks but for health and reducing the negative effects of aging. I am doing x 4 workouts a week plus my x 5 swims, all early morning. The only time to train. Also enlisting the support of 2 supplements Creatine Monohydrate injested prior to workout for the boost it gives to muscle energy, and L Glutamine amino, taken post workout to aid recovery & reduce muscle soreness. More later on exercise & ageing.
